JOB SUMMARY:
This position provides coordination and support for the Lincoln Ramirez Neurosurgery Skills Laboratory, Fellowships and courses. Position is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning and flow of work with specified tasks, monitoring accurate completion and timely deadlines. General direction will come from the Neurosurgery Skills Laboratory faculty director, faculty course directors and supervisor. This position requires a high degree of organization, ability to multi-task, ability to work independently on multiple projects, and a focus on details. Effective interaction with physicians, department personnel, and external organizations such as industry is required. This individual must work effectively as a team member and be comfortable with some task ambiguity, as work demands fluctuate annually.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Contributes to the development, implementation, administration, coordination, and evaluation for one or more academic programs to ensure effectiveness in meeting departmental and student development goals and initiatives. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
15% Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events
25% Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews
25% Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
15% May supervise the day to day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals.
5% Maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies for academic programs, events and initiatives.
5% Assist Neurosurgery's related research projects for several investigators. Assist laboratory manager of the Lincoln Ramirez Neurosurgery Skills Lab by aiding faculty using the lab, coordinating or arranging teaching and surgeries, ordering supplies.
10% Per communications planning, direct content strategy for department websites and social media
platforms. Collaborate with Department writers and others to create content for blogs and
social media, including writing content.

EDUCATION:
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Biological sciences or related field preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Two or more years experience in project management, educational administration or managing a laboratory preferred.
-Experience in animal or cadaver anatomical courses or research is preferred.

-Exceptional customer service orientation (welcoming and responsive to staff requests, deadline oriented, motivated to produce high quality work).
-Effective interpersonal skills, interacting with physicians, department personnel, and external organizations.
