Job Summary
The Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level. Purdue University seeks to attract exceptional candidates with interests and expertise in power systems, power electronics, and electrification. Successful candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering or a related discipline and demonstrate potential to build an independent research program, as well as potential to educate and mentor students. The successful candidate will conduct original research, advise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, and perform service at the School, College, and University levels.
School and College
The Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University is the home of the Schweitzer Power and Energy Area. This ECE area enjoys 9000 sq. feet of power laboratories, including the Grainger Laboratories for construction and testing of power components. Purdue is well known for its work in rotating machinery and in shipboard, aircraft, and vehicular power-electronics-based power systems. The area desires to expand its research and teaching in power systems, power electronics, and electrification.

The School is an integral part of Purdue’s College of Engineering.
