Job Description Summary
Plans and conducts basic experiments to meet research project objectives, with close supervision. Oversees the laboratory mouse colony. Assists in performing laboratory experiments. Daily management of laboratory tools, documentations, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental work set ups in accordance to established protocols.
In addition, the Research Specialist B will provide interpretation and analysis of results, troubleshoot experimental and methodological problems, and develop solutions to technical problems of moderate scope, and other related duties and tasks as required or assigned. Skills such as molecular and cellular biology techniques (qRT-PCR, maintenance of primary and transformed cell lines) are preferred.

Drive a research project (collect, analyze and interpret data, and present data at group meetings)
Help in the general running of the lab, including: ordering, receiving items, and maintaining lab organization

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Research Specialist B
Job Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory research, troubleshoot problems, analyze data, design new research experiments along with research publications, and prepare presentations.
Participate in lab management and help support lab set up and operations, oversee ordering, organization and maintenance of reagents, equipment, and protocols.
Train and supervise other lab members as needed, provide scientific and technical expertise and guidance for other ongoing projects
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Bachelor of Science and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
