We are in the top five in the UK for the quality of our research, and in teaching, we are ranked 8th in the UK for Electronic and Electrical Engineering in the Guardian University Guide 2023.

We currently have around 700 students from 60 countries studying with us and around 45 academic staff engaged in teaching and research. We also deliver one of our programmes of study in partnership with Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China, where we have a further 200 students. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our teaching staff to help develop our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

We are looking for the knowledge, experience and creativity needed to design innovative courses. You will be able to develop your scholarship ideas and feed this through into your teaching practice to improve the student experience. With the ability to motivate and inspire learners, you will become a valued academic member of the School.

You will have technical experience in a range of topics related to Electronic and Electrical Engineering, gained either in industry and/or within higher education. In addition to demonstrating enthusiastic and effective teaching skills, you will demonstrate excellent team working skills with an ability to work in a cross-cultural team and possess excellent communication skills.
