JOB SUMMARY:
Interlibrary Loan Office Coordinator:
The Interlibrary Loan department of the UW-Madison Libraries is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and enterprising individual to process requests, administer student employee management, help direct daily operations, and provide overall support of document delivery and interlending services. The ILL department is a highly complex, fast-paced, and highly collaborative teamwork environment. The successful candidate must be flexible, detail oriented, and feel comfortable in an environment of constantly changing priorities.

Government Document Cataloging Specialist:
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries seek a collaborative, innovative, and
problem-solving individual to serve as a cataloging specialist. This position performs essential functions to properly process the government documents the library receives and collects. They will provide access to the materials in a timely manner and organize the government document collections according to national standards.

Electronic Resources Management Specialist:
This position provides support for the discovery of and access to electronic resources. Works as part of a team to ensure new and continuing access to electronic resources through duties that include maintaining access and holdings information; working with vendors; responding to and helping resolve reported online access problems; and investigating, troubleshooting, and reconciling discrepancies with orders, invoices, and resource access entitlements across systems; ordering, renewing, and maintaining electronic journal packages; reconciling changes in publishers/vendors for ongoing online titles within packages; assisting with renewals and purchases of other electronic resources; verifying that invoices are correct for payment; and activating resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs a wide range of complex library services which support the day-to-day operations to provide access to information resources in a variety of formats. Hires, trains, and guides student employees.
25% Provides complex support to the day-to-day operations of library services to provide guidance in the use of library information resources, operations, and policies; or to acquire, prepare, and preserve library information resources for use
10% Interprets policies and procedures to answer non-routine questions and resolve complex issues
10% Utilizes designated library systems, tools, standards, and practices to locate, retrieve, and organize; or describe, edit, preserve, and reformat a variety of library information resources
5% May create invoices, process complex orders, and resolve any purchasing discrepancies
10% Utilizes library software and systems to retrieve, enter, and report on data using a wide variety of applications
10% Provides complex library services support in absence of a supervisory authority. Acts as a resource to other library staff
20% Hires, trains, and guides student employees and monitors student workflows
5% Contributes to the development of policies and procedures
5% Participates in committee work within the library and the university

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work on a computer for 6-8 hours per day with or without accommodation (Electronic Resources Specialist Requirement)

- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation (Interlibrary Loan Office Coordinator and Government Documents Cataloging Specialist Requirements)

Preferred:
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Proven ability to multitask, tolerate ambiguity, make decisions, and remain efficient and effective in a dynamic environment with abundant and fluid priorities

Interlibrary Loan Office Coordinator Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of resource sharing principles, practices, and systems (ALMA/RAPIDO, OCLC, ILLiad, RAPIDILL, etc.)
- Experience with or demonstrated interest in directing and managing the work of student employees
- Knowledge of general reference methods including the ability to search printed and electronic reference sources such the library's catalog and journal and information databases, bibliographies, indexes, abstracts, dictionaries, online catalogs, search strategies and electronic databases

Government Documents Cataloging Specialist preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of the processing and cataloging of government document depository materials in physical formats
- Experience with cataloging standards and tools such as MARC formats, RDA standards, OCLC Connexion, ALMA system

Electronic Resources Management Specialist preferred qualifications:
- Ability to understand and interpret complex processes and records
- Familiarity with library-specific systems, databases, and other academic electronic resources
- Knowledge of, or desire to gain proficiency in, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel or other spreadsheet software
- Ability to document activities and procedures
