Posting Summary
Provide effective customer service to employees, job applicants, and retirees that contact Human Resources via email, phone and walk-in. Utilize systems (including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), contact management and electronic personnel file software) to identify, research, and resolve common questions, routing or escalating more detailed and complex inquiries to appropriate team member in a timely manner. Handle confidential/sensitive information to include maintaining employee records and providing information regarding the processing and administration of benefits, payroll and labor distribution management in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Reporting to the HR Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree with one to three years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment and serve as an effective team member. Proficiency with computer software and the ability to learn new systems and software is essential. Ability to effectively communicate with customers to obtain information and provide assistance is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality required. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of University students, personnel, and affiliates, and across multiple disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice issues, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment.
