Description of Work
Reporting to the Deputy Director, leads group ticket sales operations with large regional businesses, organizations and schools to maximize ticket sales with groups and increase Lied Center ticket revenue. Plans, manages and executes group ticket sales plan including direct interaction with group contacts in person and through other communication methods. Maintains group sales relationships and obtains new groups. Manages the Lied’s program book advertising operations. Provides on-site coordination of patrons and groups during performances. This position is funded by group ticket sales revenue and is contingent upon successfully generating group sales revenue.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in arts management, communications, public relations, public administration, advertising, marketing or related field plus one year of experience in direct sales; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience in customer relations and ticket sales. Experience in sales budget development and management. Experience must demonstrate: an understanding of effective sales planning and execution; excellent written and oral communications skills; excellent organizational and planning skills; and ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful track record of increasing sales or income in past work history. Group ticket sales and/or advertising sales experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ticketing/CRM software. Background, knowledge of, and/or interest in the performing arts is beneficial.

Posted Salary $37,000 minimum + commission
