Job Description
Summary
This position is temporary and the maximum length of the assignment is three months. This is not a benefits eligible position.
Job Duties
- Analyzes, reviews, and processes Texas standard credentialing applications
- Enrolls providers with Medicare, Medicaid, and any additional managed care plans as needed
- Assembles and maintains credentialing files for providers
- Performs audits and quality assurance checks on credentialing files
- Coordinates with health care facilities for patient surgeries, tests, or procedures
- Communicates pre-operative instructions and requirements for medical clearance to patients; may address financial issues regarding surgeries or procedures
- Assembles medical records and insurance information for patient appointments
- Orders specialized supplies or equipment needed for surgeries or procedures, including tissues and grafts
- Assists with insurance pre-authorizations or issues
- Provides additional support to faculty members as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scheduling patient appointments
- EPIC experience
