Job Description

Summary

This position is temporary and the maximum length of the assignment is three months. This is not a benefits eligible position.

Job Duties

  • Analyzes, reviews, and processes Texas standard credentialing applications
  • Enrolls providers with Medicare, Medicaid, and any additional managed care plans as needed
  • Assembles and maintains credentialing files for providers
  • Performs audits and quality assurance checks on credentialing files
  • Coordinates with health care facilities for patient surgeries, tests, or procedures
  • Communicates pre-operative instructions and requirements for medical clearance to patients; may address financial issues regarding surgeries or procedures
  • Assembles medical records and insurance information for patient appointments
  • Orders specialized supplies or equipment needed for surgeries or procedures, including tissues and grafts
  • Assists with insurance pre-authorizations or issues
  • Provides additional support to faculty members as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scheduling patient appointments
  • EPIC experience
