Summary

The Division of Epidemiology and Population Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable research assistant to support environmental epidemiology research projects related to maternal and child health outcomes.  The primary responsibilities of this position including assisting the PI in tasks related to data management and analysis of epidemiolgoic data.  For example, this position will be responsible for compiling and cleaning epidemiologic data from existing cohort studies, surveys, or electronic health records.  This position will also be responsible for conducting statistical analyses using statistical software SAS and R, and summarizing results in tables, figures, reports and manuscripts.  

Job Duties

  • Compiles and cleans epidemiologic data from multiple sources.
  • Conduct statistical analyses using distributed lag non linear models as well as linear and logistic regression. 
  • Documents and interprets results of statistical analyses and reports results to PI.
  • Develops and modifies computer programs in SAS and R programming language. 
  • Compiles reports and tables of statistical results. 
  • Provides project management. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, Environmental Health, or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Master's degree in Biostatistics or related field.
  • Relevant experience as a research assistant.
  • Experience with statistical software SAS and R.   
  • Applicant should have experience working with on epidemiologic or population health research studies.
