Job Description
**Open only to current Academic staff in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures**
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures is looking to appoint a new Chair of the Arts, Humanities and Cultures Faculty Research Ethics Committee, following the end of Professor Robert Jones’ tenure. The successful candidate will be a member of academic staff based in the Faculty.
The Committee remit includes: considering applications for ethical review from staff and students; working with applicants to ensure that research is conducted ethically; auditing completed research which received ethical approval to ensure compliance with ethical practices; and promoting awareness and understanding of ethical issues in research more broadly.
The role of the Chair is open to academic members of staff with appropriate levels of expertise across all the Faculty’s Schools.
The appointment requires the agreement of the Executive Dean and relevant Head of School.
Administrative and professional support from the Secretariat will be provided.
