Salary: Grade 9 (£54,421 - £63,059 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.  We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

As the Head of Solution Architecture, you will own and lead the Solution Architecture practice within the broader Strategy and Architecture function.  You will help build and maintain the University’s Solution Architecture capability.  You will provide leadership to the existing Solution Architecture group including external contractors.   You will embed good practice and develop and maintain the capabilities of the team, including documentation and maintenance of solution architecture standards and methods.  You will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of solution architecture resources, and represent the Solution Architecture practice in engagements within the IT department and the wider University (e.g. Transformation Office). You will also contribute as a practicing Solution Architect both directly (typically during early phases of large programmes/projects) and by providing oversight, advice and guidance to solution architects in your group.
