Job Description Summary:

To coordinate district-wide career program planning, implementation, support services, and training to increase workforce dual credit opportunities for eligible high school students throughout the ACC service area in accordance with ACC policies and procedures.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1) Serves as primary High School Career Programs resource for career academies, PTECHs and articulated credit. Builds and fosters a positive working relationship between partnering ISDs and Austin Community College (ACC). 

2) Oversees data verification and articulated credit award process in ACC's Career Programs, which includes working with programmers to create or update verification and award reports.
3) Assists with the administration and maintenance of Articulated Credit Management System.
4) Provides training and technical support to Articulated Credit system users.

5) Creates and delivers letters to all high school seniors who have completed Articulated Courses.
6) Assists in maintaining Articulated Credit website.
7) Prepares and develops reports for Articulated Credit enrollments and credit collection.
8) Assists in planning Articulated Credit Consortium meetings for ISD partners
9) Build and Maintain Workforce Dual Credit Pathways.
11) Ensures high school teachers compliance with requirements by a.) planning and delivering curriculum training for high school teachers; b.) collecting and storing teacher credentials for all high school instructors; and c.) planning and coordinating with the Enrollment and Partnerships Department on the instruction of content area professional development for high school teachers
12) Oversees articulated and dual credit faculty training, credentialing, and sponsorship initiatives.

13) Coordinates and plans with partner ISDs to host ACC Career Programs class sections. Organizes and leads meetings with representatives from partner school districts. 
14) Develops and monitors the semester and annual course scheduling for individual high school sections to include negotiation with ACC academic department chairs for course approvals, cancellations, and adjustments for ACC Career Programs sections at high school locations and ACC campuses. 
15) Coordinates and delivers new student orientation session for career programs.
16) Coordinates, creates, organizes, and delivers recruitment and outreach events for career programs. 
17) Provides ACC faculty support for facility needs and student registration support for career academies and PTECH. 
18) Develops a job readiness workshop for graduating students to include: resume writing, interview preparation, workforce networking, and work readiness. 
19) Monitors semester registration of restricted career academy and PTECH classes and verifies semester class rosters. 
20) Serves on high school, community, and college-wide committees as assigned.

Required Work Experience

* Two years related work experience.

Required Education
* Bachelor's degree. Experience cannot be substituted for education.

* Bilingual a plus

Special Requirements

Licenses/Certifications; Other
* Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation needed for local Austin area travel.

Physical Requirements

* Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
* Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
* Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary Range

$49,205 - $61,506
