Position Highlights

Responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and ongoing evaluation of base, bonus and incentive, and executive compensation programs. Leads a team of compensation professionals in the delivery of innovative, competitive, and analytically driven compensation programs that support business objectives and deliver value and equitable compensation to team members. Partners with key stakeholders including business leaders, talent acquisition, and team member relations to ensure compensation strategy and administration are aligned to support the continued growth and success of the organization. Monitors compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


  • Develop and manage base pay and incentive programs that apply to Management, Faculty and Staff to ensure the compensation plans are internally equitable as well as externally competitive and consistent with Moffitt’s compensation philosophy.


  • Responsible for the preparation of organization-wide market, merit and incentive compensation budgets and payout estimates.


  • Collaborate with Business Partner Teams and Management on the development of compensation models such as clinical job ladders, job families, and other related organizational structures; provide advice and leadership in the design of creative solutions to complex pay issues.


  • Select, orient/train the Compensation team members. Develop job design and standards of performance, evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions such as merit increases, promotions and disciplinary actions.


  • Lead compensation-related projects and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders with significant strategic and financial impact and leverage organization-wide resources to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and with consistency across lines of business, where appropriate.


  • Perform duties other than those listed above as requested and necessary.


Credentials and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business related field required.


  • Certification in Human Resources or Compensation, e.g., PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM SCP, or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).


  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in compensation administration or related field.


  • Minimum 5 years of management experience required.


  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation programs, policies and operations.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.
