Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Experience and proven ability in vision research
Desired Qualifications
Experience cutting and preparing vibratome sections for transmission electron microscopy.
Experience maintaining laboratory records in standardized format.
Experience with 3D image analysis and open-source segmentation software.
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
Experience teaching, training, and managing others.
Experience applying for research awards/grants.
Position Purpose
Conduct vision research focused on photoreceptor structure and function.
Job Duties
Process ocular tissues by preparing vibratome sections for transmission electron microscopy.
Learn and perform immunohistochemistry.
Image samples with fluorescence microscopy.
Help maintain laboratory environment.
