NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs: If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs. If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date. Salary Range: $88,600
- $146,200 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. What Your Job Will Be Like: Are you passionate about fostering success through partnerships? Are you curious about how that works between Sandia and Universities? The Academic Programs organization is seeking a Technical Business Development Specialist to help develop partnerships with academic institutions. In this role, you will work closely with both Sandia and university leadership. As part of a team, you will help shape and implement programs that directly benefit Sandia’s long term partnerships goals, build Sandia/university collaborative research, and improve the student pipeline. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Facilitate communications and initiatives between internal and external partners + Collaborate with university partners from several different national and regional universities + Work with Sandia management to plan/implement university partnership strategy + Develop engagement plans for universities + Develop success metrics and tools for the program and provide reporting on results + Provide project planning and management + Make informational presentations to internal and external audiences Due to the nature of the role, on-site work is required at least two days per week for the first six months on the job. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus five (5) years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in a high tech, government, or academic business development environment + Experience in one or more of the following areas: + Business, program, or project planning and management; + Customer relationship management techniques; + Success metrics development and reporting; + Working with universities + Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q security clearance Qualifications We Desire: + Master's or PhD in a relevant field + Desire to work with Sandia leadership + Desire to actively work in partnerships with universities across the country + Experience working with a team positioned in remote locations + Experience with Excel, and other Microsoft products in the Microsoft office suite + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Strong teaming and interpersonal skills with proven success working on multi-disciplinary teams, especially science/technology teams About Our Team: Sandia National Laboratories' Academic Programs organization has a focus on institutional relationship with universities. Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
