Job Description

Job Summary
Provides complex administrative support for department management. Coordinates and oversees the work of support staff.
Responsibilities
1. Manages clinical training agreements in conjunction with the Department of PTAT, College of Health, The University of Utah, Office of Risk Management, HIPAA regulatory office and external institutions site coordinators of clinical education, risk management, and legal representatives.
2. Maintains the clinical education management system (Exxat).
3. Facilitates active student Clinical Experiences and the clinical experience placement request process.
4. Track and manage student compliance for clinical experiences.
5. Clear written and verbal communication with clinical sites, faculty, and students.
6. Facilitates the full-time and part-time placement request.
7. Assists Director(s) of Clinical Education with planning and orienting new incoming students to the PT program/provide with annual updates of the Clinical Education Handbook/Manual.
8. Collects and manages data information from PT CPI Web and Exxat
9. Plan and organize logistics for local, state, and regional clinical education consortia meetings, conferences, annual Career Fair and other special events and workshops including travel process.
10. Plans and organizes annual promotional “thank you” item ordering and mailing to clinical faculty.
11. Delegates and oversee work performed by clinical education work study student, including effectively prioritizing and delegating appropriate tasks.
12. Assists in expenditures accounting/budgeting for clinical education.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in business or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.
