Job Description
Position Overview
This position is responsible for the supervision of financial aid counselors and works with the Director of Financial Aid to plan, implement and evaluate activities in the Student Financial Aid office to insure program integrity and delivery of services. Additionally, this position is responsible for daily coordination and supervision of daily processes as well as overseeing the awarding and disbursement of federal, state, and institutional student financial assistance funding. It is also responsible for creating and maintaining written policies and procedures used by financial aid counselors to award and disburse financial aid funds to students.

Position Qualifications
Required Experience
Five years of work experience in student financial assistance.
Supervisory experience.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree
Required Other
Additional Preferred
Master’s degree.
Experience in supervising full-time staff in a student financial aid office in higher education;
Experience as a director, associate director, assistant director, or counselor/advisor in a student financial aid office in a large institution.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate articulately; work cooperatively and harmoniously with staff and students; organize and supervise staff.
