Job Profile Summary

This position provides assistance to direct, manage, supervise & coordinate the activities and operations of the Campus Technology team. Acts as a liaison between Information Technology and Campus based technology teams to develop, as a group, common practices for testing, upgrading and deploying new and existing hardware/software, peripherals, systems software, basic networking components and multi-media equipment. Provides highly responsible and multi-faceted administrative, technical and hands-on support to the Information Technology division.

  

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • An equivalent of experience and education may be considered.

Minimum Experience/Training:

  • Six years of technical experience with supervisory or lead experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Daily - 20%: Supervises those employees who install, configure, maintain, move and assist in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software, peripherals, systems software, basic networking components and multi-media equipment.  May involve coordination with Information Technology staff and analyzes user requirements concerning software and the efficient use of information technology systems. In addition, the Central campus position will also oversee the Collegewide inventory and computer science support team.
  • Daily - 10%: Serves as the main point of contact for all IT requests from   their respective campus and coordinates with other IT staff of the request if / when it does not fall under their jurisdiction  
  • Daily - 10%: Coordinates with the campus and other IT technology staff the implementation and planning of new technologies, refresh/replacement of aging equipment, College wide inventory, workstation standards, desktop software licensing and integration          
  • Daily - 10%: Maintains various databases including hardware and software inventory and maintains college wide software licensing.
  • Weekly - 10%: Researches and provides information required by Information Technology and Facilities to implement new installations as well as changes to existing technology infrastructure while implementing departmental based software.
  • Daily -10%: Attends necessary training and conferences in order to stay current with present and future trends in technology.
  • Annually - 5%: Recommends budgetary needs for the fiscal year.
  • Annually - 10%: Responsible for people management of the area, including recommendation of staffing, hiring, termination and discipline, setting performance standards and evaluating staff, and staff development.
  • Monthly - 5%: Coordinates with staff the evaluating and testing of new technologies, inventory and college wide technology refresh plans.
  • Weekly - 5%: Coordinates and implements a plan for the deployment of new releases/upgrade of both standard image components and department-based software. In addition, coordinates software application packaging and assists SCCM engineer with college-wide software deployments
  • Daily - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
