Summary

The Department of Neuroscience is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to assist several tenured and tenure track faculty, and their respective lab personnel, director and/or administrator in a variety of administrative duties such as planning, assigning and reviewing the work of employees, as well as coordinating and administering policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Provides administrative support to basic science research department by providing reception services, scheduling appointments, meetings, travel, filing, preparing and proofreading correspondence, and other documents as requested.
  • Places laboratory and administrative purchase orders.
  • Reconciles purchasing (P-Card) and corporate cards transactions.
  • Manages domestic and international travel in Concur and submits expenses for reimbursement.
  • Reconciles invoices/accounts.
  • Helps to organize and conduct events, as directed, by reserving meeting rooms, catering (set-up and clean-up), preparing invitations, announcements, agendas, brochures, making travel arrangements and reservations, and assisting with the event as it occurs.
  • Supports the administrative business functions of the department by organizing the faculty CVs, updating bio-sketches.
  • Provides additional support to faculty members as needed.
  • Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  • Supports the department by performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Concur software, SAP.
