Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, and collaborating with campus partners, the Director serves as the grant writer, project manager, and editor for institutional and faculty proposals; develops proposal budgets; assists in the submission of proposals; creates grant reports for current and prospective partners; tracks relationships in the database; and oversees research related to RFP's and other corporate and foundation funding opportunities. The Director collaborates with Advancement colleagues toward achieving department goals.

MANAGE PORTFOLIO OF FOUNDATION FUNDERS
a. In collaboration with the Executive Director of CFR, maintain relationships with current foundations
b. Cultivate relationships with prospective foundations
c. Create and manage reporting on grant-funded activities related to foundation portfolio, coordinating with faculty, program directors, and the business office to submit accurate, timely, and complete reports.
d. Track relationship activities in database.
e. Coordinate research and discovery of new foundation partners

PREPARE AND SUBMIT PROPOSALS
a. Serve as the grant writer, project manager, and editor for institutional and faculty proposals.
b. Collaborate with campus partners to develop grant proposals, including narrative writing, budgeting, gathering supporting documentation, internal reviews and approvals, and packaging the proposal for submission.
c. Support budget development. Work with campus partner to develop the proposal budget in coordination with the College's Business Office and according to the foundation's stated guidelines.
d. Obtain appropriate College data, Business Office approval and signatures
e. Submit final proposals on behalf of the College
f. Oversee or assist with electronic submission of proposals

MANAGE CORPORATE PARTNERS PROGRAM
In collaboration with the Executive Director of CFR:
a. Maintain relationships with current corporate partners.
b. Cultivate relationships with prospective corporate partners.
c. Create and manage reporting on grant-funded activities related to portfolio, coordinating with faculty program directors, and the business office to submit accurate, timely, and complete reports.
d. Track relationship activities in database.
e. Coordinate research and discovery of new corporate partners.
f. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and strategies to increase number and quality of corporate partnerships.?

BUILD COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CAMPUS PARTNERS
a. Work with college leadership to identify projects that are aligned with both college priorities and foundation/corporate interests
b. Collaborate with Advancement colleagues, contributing to achievement of department goals and participating in department activities.
c. Cultivate relationships with faculty and program directors to support their engagement of corporate and foundation funders.
d. Contribute to refining grants policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: REQUIRED: Bachelors degree or relevant experience
PREFERRED: Master's degree

Experience: 3-5 years of grants, fundraising or relevant experience

Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong MS Office skills ( Excel, Word, Powerpoint); strong persuasive skills.
