Job Description

The Research and Impact Support Officer will work closely with the Director of Research and the Director of Impact to provide administrative support in the organisation and administration of Research and Innovation impact and engagement related activities. 

The post holder will be part of the School’s Management and Administration Support Service (MASS), and will provide efficient and effective support to researchers within the school of English, as well as supporting the Director of Research and the Director of Impact. They will have excellent knowledge and expertise to support research practice and to coordinate activity relating to the Research Excellence Framework. They will work with key stakeholders, both within the University and externally, to implement the School’s research and engagement strategies, and to manage relationships that will also support educational opportunities for students.

The School of English has an outstanding reputation as a centre of excellence for research in English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing and Theatre Studies. We have a strong profile for interdisciplinary activity and collaborative engagement with external partners both in industry and in the cultural sector. We also have an excellent track record for research grant capture.
