Job Description

Position Purpose
Provides administrative support to frontline fundraisers while assisting in the management of class fundraising with an emphasis on the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of top Dartmouth College Fund prospects to raise the maximum amount of unrestricted, current-use dollars for Dartmouth College. In consultation with fundraisers, manages up to three assigned classes and the approaches and activities that lead to solicitations and gift commitments.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Four years of experience in a complex college or university development operation; or the equivalent
Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including ability to prioritize and respond appropriately to multiple projects and deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Sound judgment and strong customer service orientation with the ability to interact with a diverse group of people internal and external to Dartmouth College, including volunteers and prospective donors
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; database management software; comfort with learning new software as needed
Strong skills in project management, presentations, writing, and proofreading.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to respond appropriately to pressures and changes in priorities and schedules
Integrity with discretion and confidentiality with donor-related matters

Note: Employment will be contingent upon possession of a valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license and continued qualification as an Approved Driver under the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with computer networks and systems (e.g. Advance)
Ability to interpret Dartmouth policies and procedures and work in a large institutional setting
