Description
The Director of Marketing plans and implements marketing and brand-management strategies to raise visibility and advance the College in achievement of its goals. This position works collaboratively with many departments on campus and will provide leadership and strategy to attract prospective students and parents to promote the college in regional and national media.

Responsibilities and Duties


Leads and inspires a highly talented and creative marketing team.
Provides support to the department leadership in establishing creative vision and a unified communication and marketing strategic plan that will intensify public relations efforts in delivering a cohesive and successful Santa Fe College message.
Provides oversight for daily project management and execution of the marketing plan.
Provides stewardship of the Santa Fe College brand, and maintains the online brand guide, so that the SF brand identity is consistent and clear in college-wide marketing and advertising products.
Provides the marketing tools that will help shape public perception of Santa Fe College causing a direct impact on student recruitment, community opinion, legislative support, and fundraising success.
Assists with promotion of special events and activities sponsored by the College.
Ensures that marketing messages and graphic elements used in external advertising and communications are consistent with the college’s mission and identity.
Works collaboratively with the Web Manager in developing the design for a website that will improve internal and external customer access to web resources while conforming to federally mandated accessibility requirements.
Facilitates contracts with print and electronic media and/or agencies to create and disseminate advertising materials in support of general enrollment and college programs.
Assists in administering the annual budget for the department; analyzes and reviews budgetary and financial data for advertising and marketing campaigns; controls and authorizes marketing expenditures in accordance with established resources and limitations in support of the College’s strategic goals.
Analyzes statistical reports in support of advertising and marketing campaigns; prepares monthly reports that provide a snapshot of information about the success of each campaign.

Qualifications
Required: A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, public relations or closely related field with a minimum of two years of related experience is required. Supervisor experience is required.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.

Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
Ability to use computer keyboard, work order maintenance system, internet, and email.
