Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 p.a. plus a Personal Development budget of £4,333

Do you hold an MSc in data science, data analytics, or machine learning? Do you have strong analytical skills including experience in using analytical methods in the healthcare supply sector? Would you like to launch your career in industry? 

The University of Leeds has an opportunity for you to ‘fast track’ your career in the industry by leading a project to develop and apply new methodologies in demand planning, forecast accuracy, and inventory management in the medical device supply sector, including the use of digital techniques such as AI. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will be working in collaboration with one of the world’s leading healthcare companies, Johnson & Johnson, and the prestigious Leeds University Business School.

As a KTP Associate, you will be expected to manage this project and effectively transfer knowledge from the academic knowledge base at The University of Leeds to Johnson & Johnson with the aim of improving efficiency of Johnson & Johnson’s supply chain with digital transformation to analyse, understand and act on detailed data about demand and inventory, and to reduce inventory waste to meet ongoing sustainability commitments. You will be working with academics at the Leeds University Business School and the Asset Management Team at Johnson & Johnson where you will have access to cutting edge research resources, vast pools of datasets, and scientific expertise to assist you in building a robust and futureproof demand planning model.
