College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
Job Posting RefreshedThis Research Associate will perform translational/clinical research including testing of human research subjects. The RA will be responsible for subject scheduling, registering, consenting, documenting, non-invasive physiological testing of research subjects, and data management (accurate data entry, retrieval and quality control). Work is performed under close supervision.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:Participate in complex clinical research trials to include data collection, analysis and dissemination.Participate in all stages of subject preparation to include recruitment and screening.Actively participate in lab meetings and group discussions.Perform a variety of administrative duties such as ordering supplies, record keeping, maintain HAC binders, iLAB, cleaning and maintaining procedure area, and all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience; previous supervisory experience.

Experience in subject recruitment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Ability to work independently, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines and exercise good judgment. Knowledge to adhere to proper handling of blood and other bodily fluids and proper use of laboratory machinery in accordance with proper policies and procedures.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Grade: R14

Salary: Minimum $36,197.00/Annually - $50,675.00/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
