Supports senior and executive level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.
The Office of Student Affairs mission is to support all our medical students during your time at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. We provide student-centered, individualized personal, professional, and academic guidance in an equitable and just way to maximize the success of our diverse medical student body. *The Administrative Specialist is responsible for providing full support to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Director of Student Affairs, as well as a thriving and active Advisory Dean Program, and a dynamic Office of Student Affairs. *This position provides high level administrative support to the Associate Dean in managing their calendar, scheduling and coordinating appointments, coordinating travel arrangements, preparing agendas, and compiling data as needed. The individual will support the Associate Dean in office communications and will provide expanded general administrative support. This position will work closely with the Associate Dean to plan itineraries, arrange meetings, prepare agendas and compile data as needed. *The incumbent will support a team of advisory deans by scheduling and maintaining a series of advisor/student meetings throughout the year, including weekly small group lunches; attending advisory dean meetings twice per month and recording meeting minutes; and maintaining the advisory dean handbooks and advising portfolios. *The incumbent will help to process financial forms, process account requests, manage business operational processes, pay invoices, and make purchase requisitions. *The incumbent will assist in the administration and execution of medical student social and advising events/programming.
