The OU Registrar Office works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally, we partner with parents, counselors, and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher education. Our goal is to build a vibrant, inclusive community on campus by recruiting students with diverse backgrounds, educational experiences, and involvement. 

We're currently looking for a new team member in our Norman office to serve in The Office of the Registrar. 

We need someone who exhibits:

field of college enrollment management. A focus on innovation, displaying an understanding of positive change and
possessing a strong analytic ability. Efficiency by researching best practices, making creativity a priority.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Front-line staff, answering calls and in person questions concerning the Office of the Registrar and direct them to appropriate areas
  • Complete walk in Enrollment Verification forms and Transcript requests
  • Process Major Changes with assistance from student workers
  • Assist Classroom Management by being cross-trained as back-up
  • Assist students with enrollment process; enroll students in courses; process add/drop requests
  • Respond to emails in the Classroom Management and Enroll inbox
  • Process complete withdraws and cancellations
 

Job Requirements

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, AND:

  • 24 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to work in stressful situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Passion for work in higher education
  • Enthusiasm for interacting with students and families from a wide range of backgrounds is essential

Departmental Preferences:

  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with OU as a student and/or employee

Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
