Research within the School is organised into diverse inter-disciplinary themes, including Sustainable Systems and Processes, Innovative Manufacturing and Products, Energy and Environment, Advanced Engineering Materials, and others. Your research interests should align with existing research activities in the School, and you will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues from across and outside the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, to enhance the relevance and impact of the School’s research output.

Talented, enthusiastic and motivated, you will hold a first degree (or equivalent industrial experience) and a PhD in chemical engineering or aligned area, and have a track record of research and publications in chemical engineering, systems engineering, fluid mechanics and CFD, process modelling, simulation and control, advanced reaction engineering or separation processes. You will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in chemical engineering teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels, along with experience of supervising chemical engineering design projects.
