The History Department at Saint Mary's College of California invites applications to teach History 121, US History to 1877, in Fall 2023. This course will be taught in person, on campus.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:15am-10:20am

This course is a chronological survey of American history from European colonization to the Civil War, with an emphasis on racial, ethnic, class and gender relations, immigration and migration, the rise and impact of social movements, and the relationship between North America and the world.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a PhD or ABD in History with a focus on the US. Minimum of two years teaching experience. Copies of student evaluations.

Candidates must live in California.

The salary is $9,929 - $13,344 depending on qualifications.
