Position Description
The Department of Choral Studies, Music Education and Sacred Music at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor – Conductor of Westminster Chapel Choir – for the Fall Semester beginning Monday, September 6. This position prepares the Chapel Choir to sing with Symphonic Chorus, under the direction of Dr. James Jordan. There would be opportunities to conduct and plan recitals/programs. The Choir meets MWF, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.; Tuesdays 1:10 – 2:10.
Position Requirements
- Demonstrated ability and experience in building fundamental musical and choral ensemble skills
- Demonstrated ability and experience preparing Major Symphonic Choral Works
- Excellent conducting/rehearsal technique
- Ability to build and maintain professional, effective partnerships
- Must be highly organized
- MM Music
