Saint Mary's College of California seeks to hire a per course adjunct faculty member to teach DANCE 325/425 Modern/Contemporary Dance III/IV (Advanced levels) in the Fall of 2023.
This course will be taught in person, on campus.
This is a movement class for advanced students of the dance program. The style of modern will be determined by the expertise of the teacher. The work will involve training as a dancer through movement class, dance conditioning, choreography and performance. Students will either be enrolled in DANCE 325 or 425 all meeting in the MWF time slot.
Dance faculty are also required to attend dance faculty meetings and will be compensated for these hours.
The successful candidate will have an MFA in Dance and two years minimum experience dancing, teaching and choreographing.
Applicants must reside in California.
Salary: $2,482 - $3,436 depending on qualifications.
The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
