Background to LIDA
There is a growing movement around the world to ensure the effective use of vast data collections to drive research, policy development and public good initiatives. At LIDA our mission, aligned with the University’s strategy, is to exploit data science and AI to generate societal impact.
Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA) is the home of Data Science and AI at the University of Leeds. LIDA works to ensure the effective use of vast data collections to drive research, policy development and public good initiatives; connecting academic research and education with external partners in business, government and the third sector.
