Are you an experienced Research and Innovation professional looking to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research-intensive Universities? Are you able to build excellent, effective working relationships with academics, clinicians and our NHS partner(s)? Do you have a background in developing and delivering high value and high-quality innovation and research translation funding applications along with experience in monitoring/tracking Intellectual property (IP)? Can you help us attract significant new research funding built on the early translational and experimental medicine research outcomes from the BRC?
The NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre (https://leedsbrc.nihr.ac.uk/) is an international centre of excellence which exists to provide infrastructure to support translational research across our 6 themes: musculoskeletal disease, cardiometabolic disease, surgical technologies, haematology, pathology and antimicrobial resistance. The NIHR Leeds BRC is hosted at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust in partnership with the University of Leeds and the University of York.
We are looking for a professional and proactive individual to work with our 6 BRC research themes and across existing research support and innovation structures within the partnership to enable the BRC to go on and secure additional grant funding, translate our research into benefit to patients and, working with specialist teams, signpost best practice to produce, protect and track our IP and knowledge. You will help develop and deliver a translational research and innovation strategy for the BRC and a plan for increasing leveraged funding.
