Responsibilities
The Art Art History Department at Saint Mary's College of California (Moraga) seeks an Art Practice instructor to teach the lower-division course, Art 104 - Basic Photography. The course is scheduled to meet Thursdays from 9:50 AM to 1:20 PM for the Spring 2024 semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

Course Description:
ART 104 - Basic Photography
This course provides an introduction to the art of digital photography, production techniques, and theory. Students will study the expressive power of light, composition, contrast, depth, angles, patterns, texture, and subject matter. Technical skills will include digital input from scanning (flatbed and slide/negative), digital cameras, video and internet sources, and output to digital printing systems. Computer-assisted manipulation of imagery will be explored for correction and abstraction.
This course will be taught in person, on campus.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold MFA in Art with relevant college-level teaching experience.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary is $9,929 - $13,344 depending on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
