Summary

The Office of Communications and Community Outreach is offering a highly motivated and organized professional the opportunity to serve in a team-based printing and production center. This position is responsible for Graphic Design services in the production of print collateral, presentation graphics, publications and general Baylor College of Medicine branded materials.

 

This position may be eligible to work a hybrid work arrangement within the Greater Houston, TX area after an orientation and training period.

Job Duties

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of institutional branding.
  • Serves as senior resource for graphics production team.
  • Provides creative services and concepts for development of BCM and affiliate collateral.
  • Works with Graphics on various projects including parameters agreed on with customer or production management.
  • Presents initial concepts to clients in a way that encourages input and ownership, addressing challenges at an early stage.
  • Produces original art and enhances client provided materials.
  • Designs campaign elements to convey a targeted message in a creative, yet brand-consistent format.
  • Oversees revisions and approval process to ensure final project meets customer expectations.
  • Prepares files for print production and reviews proofs.
  • Reviews project changes and submits project to production management for final approval.
  • Maintains records of the time spent on each project for job tracking, costing and billing purposes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five+ years of experience at an agency or in-house creative team in the computer-generated graphic arts field, and extensive knowledge with Adobe Cloud Suite Products, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Work, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience in creative content creation is a plus.
