CAD Intern (Hourly)Job Description Summary:
To assist in the development, creation and manipulation of Revit models for each campus building, as well as AutoCAD updates. This position is within Facilities Information Systems (FIS), which is part of ACC’s Facilities & Construction Department.Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create Revit models for each campus building. These Revit models will be used in our GIS project, and will be given to architects for future renovation projects.
- Use .dwg’s of floor plans, elevations and site plans and turn them into Revit models.
- Reading of PDF construction documents to create accurate as-built BIM models.
Other tasks that might be assigned could include but are not limited to:
- Assist in campus site plan updates in AutoCAD
- Assist in AutoCAD drawings for FIS team
Knowledge
Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
A knowledge of architectural documents
BIM software's- AutoCAD and Revit
BIM Modeling principles including creating and editing Revit models with appropriate wall types, geo-location and elevations.
Skills

Required Education
Completion of A&E CAD - Architectural Specialization courses DFTG-2431 and DFTG-2428, or one year related experience can count as sufficient education requirement.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
Pay Rate
$22.00/hour
