Summary of Position
The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture at the University of New Hampshire invites applications for a non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor to work at the Hubbard Center for Genome Sciences (Director, W. Kelley Thomas). This position is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated researcher to contribute to a dynamic team focused on genomics and molecular biology. The selected candidate will be instrumental in supporting ongoing genomics projects, engaging in molecular biology-based processing, Next-Generation Sequencing, and analysis.

Applicants must demonstrate an extensive background in the formulation chemistry of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for gene and drug delivery. The successful applicant should possess expertise using a range of strategies to design and modify liposomes, including peptide-based modification, to achieve controlled release of therapeutic agents. Proficiency in characterizing nanoparticles in both in vitro and in vivo models, as well as gene expression analysis, spectrophotometry, and flow cytometry, is required. Experience with cell and microbial culture and DNA/RNA isolation is also crucial. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate continued proficiency and innovative thinking in their field, as well as an eagerness to collaborate and contribute to the academic environment at the University of New Hampshire.
