Job Summary:

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an IAM Engineering Supervisor to join the Information Assurance (IA) department with in ITS.

The IAM Engineering Supervisor leads the 4 - 5 member IAM engineering team focusing on planning and tactical implementation of our enterprise-wide IAM solutions, including Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. Additionally, the IAM Engineering Supervisor is responsible for developing architectural plans and technical solutions to support efforts to modernize IAM at the University. The IAM Engineering Supervisor will coach and mentor staff to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services that meet high standards of operational excellence through implementing industry best practices. This position will also offer the opportunity to draw on individual strengths to provide team-wide leadership across the approximately 25-person IAM Team.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership in IAM technologies and solutions.
Engage with University stakeholders, application development teams, and operations teams to collaboratively define, architect, and implement standards-based IAM solutions that prioritize scalability, robustness, and performance, all within a security-first framework.
Ensure work assignments are prioritized, equitably assigned, and completed timely while maintaining high-quality customer service.
Develop and mentor staff, providing accurate, specific, and timely feedback.
Identify and address skills gaps by conducting skills assessments, training needs analysis, and ongoing evaluation.
Recruit and select high-caliber people with diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experience.
Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Information, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional or equivalent
Minimum of one year of management or supervisory experience, including recruiting, mentoring, career development and performance management, leadership, and/or team building.
Minimum of six years of IT professional experience in a related role requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization, and troubleshooting.
Experience operating, supporting, or maintaining enterprise-level IT Services, including Active Directory, Azure AD, and LDAP authentication and administration.
Demonstrated understanding of enterprise directory synchronization tools (Azure Active Directory Connect, Microsoft Identity Manager, etc.)
Demonstrated understanding of multi-platform knowledge in UNIX, Windows, and Macintosh operating systems.
Demonstrated understanding of widely recognized IAM practices and procedures related to identity management, patching, encryption, authentication, and access management.
Experience with iterative team practices (e.g., Agile, Lean, DevOps).
Proficient in collaborating with partners to collect and translate business requirements into clear and concise service capabilities.
Demonstrated strong, effective communication ability in presentation and advanced writing skills (e.g., reflecting sensitivity to tone, audience, and organizational politics).
Demonstrated experience in negotiating, managing, and maintaining relationships with vendors.
Proven expertise in understanding and leveraging enhanced endpoint protection tools to increase the security of IAM solutions.
