Overview of the Role

Are you an innovative operational leader with the ability and desire to help us develop and implement best practice career development, recognition and visibility for technicians working within the Faculty of Medicine and Health? 

Do you have lived experience of senior technical management and can work with us to build more sustainable working practices? 

Are you a person who can make connections and bring different groups of people together to develop and deliver common goals?

As Deputy Faculty Operations Director (Scientific Operations) you will lead the Faculty Technicians Plan, associated projects and initiatives with the aim of building more sustainable working practices. You will work closely with the Faculty Operations Director, providing leadership and management of relevant faculty operational plans associated with the Faculty Research Strategy.   

The Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Leeds is home to over 120 technicians; a highly skilled team with diverse expertise across a wide range of essential research and teaching activities
