Job Description

The College of Engineering at University of Sharjah invites applicants for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Arofessor in Chemical and Water Desalination Engineering program. The successful candidates must have earned B.S. MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering or related fields. Industrial experience is an asset. The successful candidates must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research, advising, and course development. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and professional experience.

For this position, we seek candidates with a research focus in one or more but not limited of the following areas:

Process Control of chemical and water desalination engineering processes
Process Modeling and Simulation of chemical and water desalination engineering processes
Membrane Fabrications and synthesis
Membrane Applications

Candidates should have a strong record of accomplishment in research; publications in top field journals of Chemical Engineering and Water Desalination and demonstrated abilities to secure competitive funding. Teach a range of core and elective courses in Chemical and Water Desalination Engineering at any level; as well as supervision of senior design projects in chemical and water desalination engineering.
Develop curricula and laboratories and should plan to establish externally funded research programs and publish peer-reviewed papers.
Serve on committees at the program, department and university level

BSc in Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field in the area of Membrane fabrications and Applications Process Control and Modeling, Process Design, analysis and Integration"
