JOB PURPOSE

​The College of Dental Medicine at the University of Sharjah is seeking a well-qualified candidate for a full-time position in Prosthodontics. The suitable applicant should have a proven record of postgraduate teaching and research, as the College develops its taught postgraduate education and forges a research culture and aspires to be the leading dental school in the Gulf region and the world.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

​It is essential that the appointee has extensive experience in implantology and digital dentistry.
The applicant needs to have a strong Scopus H Index and be a proven researcher.
The appointee will provide didactic and clinical training to postgraduate students in the specialty of prosthodontics and supervise their research projects.
The applicant will also be involved in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development for this discipline.
In addition, the appointee will participate and collaborate in one of the 3 multidisciplinary research groups, Wound Healing and Oral Diagnostics, Biomaterials and Biomimetics, and Microbiota.
Selected candidates are expected to provide clinical services at the University of Sharjah's Center of Excellence and other community activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication in business in both Arabic and English.
Proficiency in MS office applications.

​PREFERRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

BDS or DDS, and PhD or equivalent doctoral degree
Postgraduate training and experience in the discipline of Prosthodontics
Experience in postgraduate teaching and clinical supervision
Proven record of research
Applicant must hold a full valid dental license in Prosthodontics in the country of recruitment.
Applicant must be eligible for UAE Ministry of Health dental license
