The Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) is seeking a Research Associate to participate in a two-year DOE-funded project on education, outreach, and Native-American engagement surrounding Carbon Management. The project will involve building a carbon-management network in Oklahoma. Through workshops, site visits, hosting on-site events, the Research Associate will build a community awareness of the challenges and opportunities surrounding long-term sequestration of CO2. The Research Associate will interact with five OGS staff and University of Oklahoma faculty, and two Research Assistants tasked with geological assessment and geophysical monitoring of carbon capture and storage. The appointment has two-years of guaranteed funding with opportunities for future funding.

Ph.D., or M.Sc. with experience, in Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Education, or similar field. Some record of publications, funding history or equivalent experience, is desirable.
