Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The College of Engineering, Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Sharjah is seeking to appoint a full time faculty with teaching experience and/or professional practice in the field of Conservation Management of Cultural Heritage and/or Museology, as well as in Architecture / Architectural Engineering.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
The successful candidate is expected to:
Help in the coordination and management of the MSc in Conservation Management of Cultural Heritage with the ability to contribute greatly to the teaching in the program in Arabic and/ or English.
Ability to teach a range of core and elective courses in graduate programs (Master and Ph.D.) in conservation management, architectural engineering, and Museology.
Supervise MSc and PhD Thesis' in the field of cultural heritage conservation management and/or Museology.
Have the ability to teach Architectural courses at the UG level.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Applicants shall hold a Ph.D. in a related field of Architecture with a sound academic track record in the fields of Conservation Management of Cultural Heritage and/or Museology.
Applicants shall hold a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/ Architectural Engineering.
Applicants should have high proficiency in Arabic and English.
Minimum of five years of experience in the field is required.
