The Department of Research, Counseling, and Curriculum (RCC) in the College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) at Augusta University invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in doctoral program in Educational Innovation. This position emphasizes innovative and engaging teaching, fostering community within the classroom, and promoting student success. The tenure status (on tenure track, tenure upon appointment, or not on tenure track) will be determined based on the qualifications of the final candidate and will be confirmed in the final offer along with position expectations. Responsibilities

Teaching- Teaching. Developing and teaching graduate-level courses in educational research methods with quantitative and/or mixed-methods expertise preferred.

Research- Research. Conducting, supervising, and mentoring research in the doctoral program by chairing and serving on doctoral committees. Conducting research, publishing scholarship, pursuing external funding, and participating in other scholarly activities.

Service- Service, providing service to the college, the university, the community, and the profession.

Required Qualifications

Doctorate from an accredited university in Education, Educational Research, Quantitative Methods. Have demonstrated the capacity for a robust research agenda with the potential for sustaining a national and/or international reputation. Possess a research record that demonstrates potential for obtaining external research funding.

Assistant Professor- early-level career as a faculty member 0-4 years experience is related field.

Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

Professor-Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.

Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:

-Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation.

-Evidence of ability as a teacher.

-Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.

-Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,

-Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferences will be given to candidates with expertise in quantitative and/or mixed-methods research (with demonstrated proficiency in related software packages including SPSS, NVivo, etc.), an identified substantive area of interest (e.g., program evaluation, educational psychology, educational policy studies), K-12 teaching experience, teaching experience at the college-level (graduate-level experience preferred), experience engaging in research in P-20 settings, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty and to mentor students.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is academic year based and typically works August through May, depending on dates outlined in offer letter and yearly contract.

The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0.
