A Clinical Research Assistant II role is available under Dr. William Dale. He is the vice chair for Academic Affairs for the Department of Supportive Care Medicine and the director of Center for Cancer and Aging in the National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center at City of Hope. Dr. Dale has devoted his career to the care of older adults with cancer and older cancer survivors. He founded and directed the award-winning Specialized Oncology Care and Research in Elders (SOCARE), designated as part of the American Hospital Association’s Age-Friendly Health System, along with two other OASIS programs at City of Hope. SOCARE offers interdisciplinary, personalized care that optimizes life quality for vulnerable older adults.

As a successful candidate, you will:

· Manage an assigned set of multiple research protocols to assure efficiency and regulatory compliance of the protocol, attending clinic as needed.

· Responsible for compilation, registration and submission of data; monitors and ensures study compliance and maintains a system for effective data flow associated with research protocols.

· Have proven to function independently and proficiently as defined in the position accountabilities.

· Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) certification preferred.

Qualifications:

· Associates degree. Bachelors degree preferred. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

· 2 years of experience working in a health care setting, preferably in research

· Read, identify and extract pertinent data from medical records

· Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology

· Experience with medical records, health information systems or related health field preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.00 - $40.34 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
