Summary

The Coordinator, Business Operations will provide administrative support by processing purchasing orders, managing travel, maintaining calendars, composing correspondence, maintaining department meeting Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation and coordinating monthly medical resident and Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist rotations.

Job Duties

  • Prepares and oversees the preparation of routine financial/expenditure documents for the organizational unit, maintaining routine financial/expenditure files, and following up on vendor inquires.
  • Calendar management for various assigned faculty.
  • Preparing regular reports, gathering and summarizing data such as meeting attendance documentation, division meeting attendance, and tracking professional license expiration dates.
  • Organizing, screening, and prioritizing mail; answering questions and furnishing information on behalf of supervisor.
  • Uses personal computer and related software for word processing, graphics, and data bases, and spreadsheets.
  • Generates assisting with and proofreading general correspondence.
  • Coordinates departmental meetings, document meeting attendance, meeting minutes, and process CME documentation as needed.
  • Coordinates monthly resident and SRNA rotator access, orientation details and resident meal plan list.
  • Processes resident evaluations.
  • May work with confidential information where discretion is necessary to protect confidentiality and may maintain confidential files and records.
  • Processes various personnel and financial transactions within SAP Concur system and purchase orders via SRM; troubleshooting and resolving problems with SAP Concur and SRM.
  • Distributes and maintains departmental announcements.
  • Monitors office supplies and process supply orders.
  • Reminds faculty of professional licensure renewals and recredentialing. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an administrative position in an academic healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with assisting physicians and medical students/residents. 
  • Experience with credentialing.
