Lecturer of Physics

The Gupta College of Science at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Lecturer of Physics in the Department of Physics and Engineering Science to begin August 16, 2024. This position is renewable with benefits.

Applicants qualified with a Master’s degree including 18 hours in Physics and/or Astronomy, or a Ph.D. in Physics, Astronomy, or related field are encouraged to apply. We seek an individual with a commitment to quality undergraduate education and with knowledge of current effective educational practices. The position will be primarily focused on introductory level physics and/or astronomy, with the opportunity to teach courses beyond the introductory level. Demonstrated success with remote teaching and learning would be beneficial.

Required Qualifications
Must have completed 18 graduate hours in the relevant discipline, hold a
master’s degree or meet the established alternative qualifications, and
exhibit strong potential for excellence in teaching. Maintain currency in
academic discipline.
