Job Description Summary

This role analyzes statistics and utilizes principles of finance and accounting to analyze past and present financial operations and estimate future revenues and expenditures. Provides financial, administrative and functional support to the department/ school. This involves analyzing and monitoring expenditures, reconciliation of funds to ensure they are aligned with the projections.
Job Description

Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Study proposed changes in methods and materials.
Prepares and/or analyzes financial reports, budgets and revenue projections. Assists with the preparation of the annual budget, monitors budget, and reallocates funds as necessary.
Process all transactions related to the office's financial activities, including purchasing, payables and reimbursement.
Designs and maintains spreadsheets and databases for tracking and compliance with university and outside requirements/policies.
Processes all purchasing requests and maintains all purchasing related tracking and record keeping. Serves as primary contact with outside vendors and coordinates repairs to equipment. Assists in obtaining bids and negotiating prices with new and existing vendors.
Serves as liaison with business/financial administrators and other departments. Responds to a wide range of inquiries from faculty and staff.
Produce monthly summary reports for endowments and special purpose accounts.
Assist with preparation of fiscal year-end projections and future fiscal year proposals.
Exercises resource stewardship to ensure compliance with related policies and procedures. Reports known or suspected irregularities to the immediate supervisor or senior leader.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

$51,824.00 - $65,000.00 Annual Rate
Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
