Job Description
The Research Scientist will be responsible for providing support for research projects in public health, health policy, health services research, or related disciplines within the College of Health Sciences and Professions. In particular, this role will support efforts undertaken by the Appalachian Institute to Advance Health Equity Science and the Ohio Alliance for Population Health. The Research Scientist will use intermediate level scientific knowledge and research skills to perform a variety of research and operations-related activities such as manuscript development, data management, recruitment, focus groups, interviews, and subject compensation. This position requires a strong understanding of the scientific research process and the regulatory policies and guidelines that govern research. The Research Scientist will work closely with research team members (i.e., faculty, staff, students, community partners) to support quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting; conduct literature reviews; connect with community partners; assist with grants and special projects; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years relevant experience (research related work).
