Summary

Baylor College of Medicine's School of Medicine is seeking temporary administrative support. This position is temporary with a maximum assignment length of three months and is not eligible for benefits.

 

This position will primarily provide business operations support for the department and will also assist in the organization of the various programs and projects within the Office of Student Affairs.

 

Former Baylor College of Medicine employees who are eligible for rehire and candidates with administrative support experience in academic medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Duties

  • Assists with the day-to-day operations of the Office of Student Affairs.
  • Prepares and processes purchasing orders.
  • Submits expenses for reimbursement and keeps track through completion.
  • Provides purchasing, travel and business support for team.
  • Sets students up as vendors to process reimbursements.
  • Communicates with students on needs for payments and planning.
  • Provides administrative support for the Dean’s and Student Affairs team as needed.
  • Schedules or coordinates meetings and provides meeting minutes if needed; schedules student meetings.
  • Assists in event planning for students.
  • Assists with coordination of new and ongoing projects and programs as needed within Student Affairs.
  • Provides additional support to Deans as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative support or program coordination experience in an academic healthcare setting.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, Concur, Jaggaer, and SAP.
